Anyone out there with a 2001 or 2002 CLK: does one-touch for the moonroof work both to open AND close or just to open? Thanks in advance fellas.

Thanks Mr. Pie. I just bought an '01 moonroof switch/dome light unit and I now have auto open on my moonroof. 10 minute mod for $25.

Beyond me that the W208's never had had autoclose, but as Firemarshall Bill says "Safety First!"[:D]

E-bay. I've seen a few of them on there every once in a while, generally low cost.

did you buy a switch and the dome light unit from a different vehicle or is it an aftermarket switch with dome unit? More details please.

CLKXTSY: you have an '02 so yours should do this already but to answer your question what I installed is an '01 CLK factory moonroof/domelight switch unit. Since the 2000's didn't come with this option I just swapped it out and now it auto-opens.

bs00clk- I'm sorry, I completely misread your post, I thought that you had figured out a way to have the moonroof auto one-touch open and auto one-touch close. Glad to hear that you have the one-touch option at a very great price.
