opinions and knowledge sought for(kind of long sorry)
Hi all, I'm a new owner of a 01 CLK 430 cab (black opal), that has 18's on it now, I've been searching around and really liked these rims. They are 19's, and staggered. First all opinions on which might look better, and second, those of you with 19's already, if you could help with some pro's and con's going from 18's to 19's.Will they be able to be put on without having to do anything? Also if my warranty will be void if I want to lower it? I'm not very auto knowledgable, so big words will only scare me. Thanks in advance for the help and the wisecracks that are sure to come.

Welcome!
I went from 17's to 19's so I don't know what the ride is like on 18's. There is a little more noise, probably attributed to the tires (Hankook) but once they're on and the car is lowered it looks so sweet I don't think any amount of noise would make a person change back.
From what I've gathered, lowering will void the warranty on suspension related issues but nothing else (don't quote me on this). Wheels are very personal. I don't like black ones but that's just me. Depending on the offset, you should be able to just pop them on.
Finally, be sure to get the left and right Threbing Fresculator rotated at least twice as the Shremping Belts have a tendancy to macerate. [:o)]

I have been leaning towards the silver ones also, the offset is 35mm, I'm the second owner, but picked it up at a Benz dealership, and was able to get a 3 yr, 60K extended warranty, on it. Thanks for posts. and the humor.

In terms of ride quality, you will have a little more noise, shorter turning ratio and maybe some rubbing when you turn your wheel all the way to either direction. Also, you'll spend a little more on tires, more frequently as well. BUT!!!!! It looks that much better![:D][8D][:p]

My Shremping Belts macerated the other day...it had nothing to do with my Benz, and my wife doesn't know about it yet, but it certainly made me think twice about all that Threbing (on the right Fresculator anyway, the left one is still unhinguinized).
