Throttle cut out ??

Throttle shuts off and light on ESP flickers.

I know this is normal when pushing the car on take off. However, it seems to be happening a lot, and when the car is accelerating and well over 60mph.

I thought it was the increased tire pressure (just posted another thread), but with the pressure back to where I have always ran it, it is still happening.

Other factors that might come into play, but I don't know, I just had both front wheels rebalanced at a local tire store. They did remove factory stick on weights inside the rim, and place new stick on weigths inside. This has cured my small vibration between 70-76 mph. I also scheduled maintanence with the dealship, but am at 500 miles past due.

I don't know if either of these two items can cause the ESP program to get jittery, but something isn't right.

Of course, since I am still under warranty, I will hope the dealership can identify the issue, next week.

RE: Throttle cut out ??

Dude, you have a CLK55. The rear tires are going to get lose all the time. :)

Seriously though, does this just happen at WOT (Wide open throttle) or just regular acceleration?

You-Za funnie !! [:p]

I just got rid of my "pro street" ride. 72 Plym. Duster 440 6pk. Mickey's out back 19" wide.

Launched like a rocket...handled like a drunk cow !! LOL

Much happier with the Benz. I realize the CLK55 can light them up just about anytime, but this sensitivity just started after I did the front wheels. It is happening at take off, and even sometimes at 5K rpm, which is 1K rpm under redline.

The car just doesn't seem the same.
