What? projectors on a W208?

Shaky camera work cuz it's two in the morning but pretty much done. Just have to tweak the aim:

Hey Thrill, can i ask where you got your 6.5" Star Grill from? I hit up Autoblz and he said he doesnt have anymore and has only got he SL Style.. I'm a bit reluctant to buy the SL grill as I prefer the one you have opted for. Looks GREAT![:D]

RE: What?

Thats SICK! What kind of HID setup do you have in there? Anyway, how much would you charge to make a set of those projectors?

RE: What?

Thrill,

What exactly did you do? How long did it take you and how much did you end up spending? It looks bad ass.

RE: What?

The biggest problem was finding the clear lenses. Dealer wont sell them without the entire housing. Thanks to Splib who pm'd me about an auction on ebay for a "lot" of various lenses I got 'em! It's fairly difficult and requires removal of the bumper, removing housings, stripping the housings then baking, yes baking them in the oven to soften and release the sealant (which can be reused). Then I dismantled the housings and cut new holes (removing the old socket) to accomodate the new projectors. I spliced in the new harnesses, drilled holes and bolted the projectors in place, also zip-tied the new ballasts to the engine bay. Back in the oven again and resealed everything back together. These guys helped me BIG TIME!

Here's some construction pics with prices. Add 100 bucks for the batch of miscellaneous lenses (I would have paid 900 after trying to sand the textured ones.
