You can buy the Load Equalizers from www.autolumination.com
You can get everything you need from there. The guy is cool. Just send him an email and explain what you want to do and he'll hook you up.

Absolutely beatiful TK; well done! By the way, how do you adjust the beams? Can you use the stock adjustment mechanisms or is it fixed? If it's stock, it might still work with the autoleveler on the HIDs. Congrats again, man!

Yo Indy, you're from INdy?? Cool! I used to live right off of Allisonville road and 91st. I'm there quite a bit because my brother lives there. Where you at? How's the CLK scene down there?

Yeah. The projectors are attached to the reflectors which are independent from the housings so you adjust them the same as if they were H7's. The blessing with Mercs is that you can adjust up, down left and right.

What a strange coincidence, I live down in Speedway now, but I have a lot of family buried in Oak Lawn, right near 91st and Allisonville. Strange ??

I am a newbie for sure, I have seen a few CLK230 and 430 or 500's around downtown, only a couple of Cab's. I don't know if there is a local group, but if there is it would be cool to meet up and tip a few.

Is Bloomington, Ill near Wilmington, Ill. I have family there to0, luckily they still drive.

RE: What?

Cool, so if you did this same mod starting with HID housings, you'd already have clear lenses, a ballast mounting bracket, and the autolevel would continue to work. So, it wouldn't be all that far off from the original but it would have those awesome looks!! Really top notch work on this...

So now are you gonna make more of these and sell them like that German guy who wants 2000 Euros for them?

Well if you figure new MB HID's at $1200, new projectors, capsules, ballasts and igniters (Lexus is apparently the best) at $1000-1500, labor and profit, he's not that unreasonable imho.
