I wish you were my neighbor too, Thrill. Nice work, you've done what other people don't even think about.

RE: What?

You need to use a Load Equalizer so you don't get that pesky Bulb is out malfunction when using LEDS.

You have to file off one of the prongs on the
LED to fit it into the socket.

There are no gay questions........unless you asked me to go dancing........That would be gay.
The problem with led's is they draw very little current which in turn gives you the "bad bulb" warning, The load equalizer pulls the necessary amount of current to make your ECU think it's an incandescent bulb, which you have in there now. You don't HAVE to have it but you'll get the warning every time you turn on your lights.
About the contacts. The leds I used have 2 prongs on them which are not matched to the bulbs you have in there now. By grinding off one of them, it fits perfectly. If you don't grind it, you'll break the socket in the light. Someone said there is an led with the correct contact configuration, but I haven’t seen one, and the ones I have are the brightest I believe, although they are not as bright as my projectors now [:0]. Can you say high beam projector retrofit?.....Sure, I knew you could neighbor.

RE: What?

DOH!! No clear city light lenses......Maybe fogs then......hmmmmmm? OH SHIT! What about those cop strobes in the fog lights.....Too weird? When you put on your hazard lights they would do that cop strobe light "pull it over, buddy" thing.

RE: What?

I have seen them for sale at most Harley shops, and aftermarket motorcycle merchants. The led upgrade on street bikes is a common trick. They are 12V systems too, so it should make them easy to purchase for our Benz upgrades.
