Resonator delete?

So I bought that Eisenmann sport exhaust off of lmmike (Good deal, good guy, thanks Mike). Should I get the resonator removed when installing the pipes or leave it. He said he heard you'd lose hp and sound like a Ford Mustank'.
I'm not looking to break any records at Hockenheim with my little 6 but I want a nice full sound.....Not like Big Daddy Don Garlits either (Drag racer for all u yunguns). Thanks

RE: Resonator delete?

My recommendation.....leave it on until after you put on the exhaust. I have the stock exhaust and when I took off my resonator it barely made a difference but made it a little throatier when getting on it. I've heard either no hp gain or actually possibly losing a couple so who knows what it really does. Anyway, after you put the exhaust on if you love the sound....then great! If not, then maybe try removing the resonator.

Thanks. Yeah I guess I wouldn't know how it really sounded if I took it off right away. Just trying to be cheap er, frugal again.

RE: Resonator delete?

I would have to think you'd get plenty of rumble out of the eisenmann exhaust. I know what you mean though. I'd hate to take my car in and then have to take it back in a couple of days to have them do something they could have done at the same time.

RE: Resonator delete?

You got the sport Eisenmann? I would have gone with the RACE if you want it loud.

RE: Resonator delete?

That's really the only reason I didn't contact him about the exhaust. If I'm gonna do it, I might as well go with the race.
