I really like the new style CLK grilles and am interested in changing mine up as it seems like the easiest first step in making the car look nicer. Would something like this fit and be easy to install? It seems like I'd be able to install it myself, but I'm not really too sure if the grill has to be molded or if it just snaps in.
Also, is this about right for what I should be paying? Its $249 US or $303 Canadian.
This is what is included in the sale:
-Schatz Sport Grille with Original MB 165mm star (With German TUV certificate)
-Schatz Hood Badge Kit with Mercedes-Benz badge
-2 Narva H6W Blue Bulbs for Daytime Running Lights (the smaller oval lamps closest to the grille)
And here is the ebay link:

RE: Changing the grill
Extremely easy swap, couple of screws and you're done. Remember to put the star in after the grill so the hood release lever doesn't hurt the star. That's a good price for the grill but the blue bulbs will look booty.

Those Narva bulbs aren't blue by a long shot; they are barely more white than the stock yellowish bulbs. It's a slight improvement, but next to HID headlights these will still look yellow.
The only way to get a closer match to HID is to get LED's and wire in resistors so you don't get the bulb out malfunction.
Josh, do you happen to remember the stats for the resistors? Also, how do you deal with the heat from the resistors? Do you have heat sinks or is it wired far from the headlight housingto prevent warping of the plastic?
