A new owner comments....questions?

Just bought a red 2000 clk430 conv with 37,000 miles. I usually buy new cars but this one hooked me. ($29k)
Just replaced the tires, and I love how solid this car is compared to my ordered new mustang GT that never came in.
Questions:
1. A lot of heat coming from the cupholder area (air on). Is that right/normal?
2. Are you all as confused as I am about the info buttons on the steering wheel? Mine are sticky (yes I've cleaned them)
3. If I keep the top down, does it shrink? (Had a vette at did.)
4. Brakes? How often replaced?
5. I'm getting the "overfilled" oil message but is just full (dipstick).
Any help is appreciated.

"overfilled" dipstick, might be the oil level sensor. Brake, probably around 40k, not too sure, its based on your driving habits. ALOT of heat? no, some yes. The rest I have no idea

RE: A new owner comments....questions?

Welcome and congratulations. To answer your questions.

1. It is normal for the cupholder area to be warm but not very hot.
2. Info button should be clear and not sticky prehaps the buttons sensors are faulty or have worn and require replacement.
3. Top does not shrink.
4. My brakes get worn every 6-8K miles but it depends on your driving style. I drive to win.
5. Not sure, could be faulty sensor, are you sure you are cleaning the dipstick before you check on a level setting.

Good Luck
