2000 CLK430 with 22K miles. Recently when moving transmission lever from P to D, especially between neutral and drive selector lever hear a noise like a loose marble or a coin or something in the mechanism as selector is moved from each position - also lever seems a less precise when shifting. Selector will shift gears without hesitation - just the noise and "looseness." Any ideas? Loose linkage somewhere or something more serious?
