NEWBIE Hi

Hi guys, just like to say I have just purchased my CLK convertible, am based in the uk. I will be sending some pictures but I have just a couple of questions that am sure you guys can answer:

1. I have some original 18" AMG monoblocks fom the E55 benz, the rears are 275 40 18 will they go straight on or do I have to change them to 265 35 18?

2. My benz is the 230e KOMPRESSER is there an aftermarket air filter that will give me some more bhp?
3.My dials are working but from initial start the temp gauge in digits is unreadable from the first 2 digits but later it cures itself, you guys come across this?
4. oh and the brake light comes on after driving for a few hours disabling the ESP whats that all about?

Welcome to the site. I too am based in the UK.

1. The 18s should be OK. If you have the standard suspension 265 may be advisable.

2. I only know of the K&N air filter and it hardly adds more power, but sounds a bit better.

3. This used to happen to my friends car but now its ok.

4. Take your car somewhere where they have the stardiagnosis system and they can reset and store all the faults via the computer.
