RE: PASSENGER SEAT

Can anyone help me w/ my problem. I own an 02 CLK320. For some reason, my passenger side seat doesn't go forward or back. Is there anyway I can fix this myself or does anyone know the problem. If not, I probably have to take it to the dealer. Pls Help! Thanks

RE: PASSENGER SEAT

Had the same problem on my 2002 CLK55 AMG.

Turned out the computer on that side of the car had gone bad, and they replaced the whole mechanism under the seat (under warranty, thankfully).

RE: PASSENGER SEAT

I have the exact same problem but I just keep changing the fuse in the trunk (25amp). The dealer wanted to replace the seat frame and motors but I have some aftermarket wiring under there and they wouldn't warranty the labor to disassemble it so I just change the fuse every few weeks.

clk passenger seat doesnt move

I am also experiencing the same problem with a 2001 clk 55 amg. All the other functions on the seat work fine except going back and forth. For those of you who just replaced the fuse were the rest of the seat functions still working?

Thank you.

passenger seat fixed - fuse replaced!

It seems it was only the fuse that needed to be replaced on my passenger seat as well! I'm so happy that i did not have to take that whole seat out!

How come none of you have run down to your local parts store to get 25 amp circuit breakers? Just tell them you want a 25 amp circuit breaker to replace a 25amp fuse. They'll know what you are talking about. Also, this problem is because of a faulty motor which may stop working all together at one point. This motor can be replaced seperate of the seat frame. Its the forward/back motor. Just some insight! But honestly..... 25 amp circuit breakers!

Does anyone know what the part# for the motor is for the front seat. I have a 2001 CLK55. I also suffer from the same problem. My Motor fianally stopped working today. I used to put a fuse in evey 2 days for the last 8 months. She finally quit today. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS Also anyone know where I could get one (besides the dealer).
