Fog light bulb replacement

Guys I need your assistance. One of my fog light bulbs has blown on my 01 CLK 430(no body kit). I obviously need to change the bulb but my dealer is as usual unhelpful and says that he will book me in for a 30min slot in 20 days time. Thats over two weeks time and £50 in labour NO WAY!

I have tried to access the bulb to change it myself but it appears to be totally covered. Does anyone know how I can the change bulb. On my old car 96 E320 it took 2 seconds and the bulb cost hardly anything???

RE: Fog light bulb replacement

Depending on how low your car is, you might need ramps for easier access.

Just get a screw driver and unscrew the black skid shield under the fog and you'll see the back of the foglight housing. Simply pull the lever down, pop out the bulb and replace. It's a 10 minute job....and again, easier if you have a jack or ramps.

not hard at all it can be done without ramps if youre a toothpick! if not use ramps and phillips screw driver i think its 3 or 4 on each side to remove the splash guards.
