I talked to an independent MB mechanic today to get a quote on how much to install Eibach Springs, Koni Shocks, #2 pads for the front, and an alignment. He said it would run me about 400... does this sound like a good price? I heard he is extremely good... He also suggested a camber kit for the front... do I really need one?
Thanks everyone for the suggestions and help throughout all the many threads I posted about this topic... I should have the car back just in time for the weekend! Damn I can't wait... I'll post pics when I get it back.
He suggested a camber kit, was he offering to sell you one? For all the + the alignment, that sounds like a good deal. Hopefully he can set the camber straight withouth a kit. Let us know how it went...with some pics too! [:)]

He wasnt offering to sell me a camber kit, just suggested that I might want to look into one... I just dropped the car off a few minutes ago, I might even get it back tomorrow night! He even offered to help me play with the spring pads in case I don't like how the wheel gap looks. Stock in the back and #2 in the front for now...
As far as what a camber kit is, a search on the forum might give you a better answer than I can... when you lower your car, you will get negative camber... causing your tires to look like your car is squatting because they are leaning into the fender well and your tires will no longer have a flat contact with the road. This will cause your tires to wear out much quicker, especially on the inner side of the tire. A camber kit will adjust your camber so that your tires are flat on the ground and not leaning. I am sure someone else can better explain the mechanical details... I just know their purpose...

That may explain why I have problem with my car. Specially when you turn, right? THe front wheels/tires are not flat on the ground and look like they're leaning and the ride is sliding a lit. Can someone tell me who make good camber kit and where to get one please??????
