Sidemarkers - Clear or Painted?

I'm looking for opinions on which side marker to use. I have the E v o sport painted side markers and the clear ones. Which looks better? I don't like how the light bleeds through the painted ones when they are on, but the clear ones are almost too bright when they are lit. Here are pictures of both:

1. Painted

2. Clear

dude, you didn't pay $100+ for those painted markers did you? Any way, you should take the bulb from the lens and push the harness into the body so you dont get that bleedthrough. I've got painted but I like the clear ones now that I see them.

RE: Sidemarkers - Clear or Painted?

Thanks for the feedback. I got the painted ones for $25 on eBay; they were brand new with the E v o sport reciept! I just picked up the clear ones on eBay to; there are still more available from the seller.

I don't want to take out the bulb because I don't want the "bulb out" warning to always appear in the instrument cluster. I've heard of others just leaving the bulb hanging in the fender, but I don't want to do that either.

The seller of the clear lights is "9555519"; he's got more listed. I don't remember the ID of the seller I got the painted ones from.

RE: Sidemarkers - Clear or Painted?

Thanks I might pick up set to see how they look. I hate the amber markers... but I'm not too sure about the euro style ones either. I have them on my prelude and I wouldn't have it any other way... but I guess I won't know about the clk until I try them on. If you remember who you got the painted ones from, let me know. Also, are you happy with the quality of the markers?

thanks.

Dude, do it yourself. Especially black, cuz there is only one shade of black. Sand down the raised letters, one coat spray primer, two coats spray black enamel, two coats spray clear coat.......Done $10
