Just wondering...to tint or not to tint?

And if so, how much do they usually cost? i guess I would want anything but limo tint---way too dark for my personal taste. Any suggestions?

I actually tinted my first car out for the look of it but now whenever I get a new car I always feel naked without the tint. I also hate the feel of the sun beating through untinted windows. It's more for comfort and feel now for me.

In So Cal tint is a must. It keeps the car cooler in the summer and gives the car a better look. The only problem is it's illegal to tint the drivers door or passenger door. I go with dark on the back three windows and medium on the drivers and passenger door. Sometimes cops are cool, somtimes they're not. It's only a fix it ticket though.

My tint man explain to me the darker the tint a potential problem with the radio waves.
Seems a weird thing to say. Given radiowaves penetrate black plastic (like bumper mounted antenna), stone, wood etc I can't imagine a bit of thin black film posing any problem whatsoever.

The problem comes when you used metalized tint films. These can pose a problem with radio reception if the car has a glass integrated antenna. Just go with the dyed film and a lifetime warranty against fading. :0)

In California, it's no longer just a fix it ticket. It's now a mandatory fix it plus a $75 fine for the first offense, fix it plus $150 for the second, and I think it goes up one more time before staying constant.
Ah well these are the chances we have to take. :0)

Yep thats why i jst roll the windows down everytime i see a cop. Mine are light tint slighly mirrored so it doesnt stand too much. Again if a cop want to mess with u they can give u a ticket .
