RE: Help installed aftermarket HID kit in 04' CLK and the kit wigs out and..

I asked the similar question to the member that is selling HID kits in the classified section and the answer I got was that there needed to be reprogramming so that the voltage was correct (or something like that) or else the lights would just flicker. Hopefully there is a member here that can be more specific but I think you're almost there. It was recommended to me that if I installed aftermarket HID's on my 04 320 cab, I would need to take it to a qualified Benz service center (not the dealership) to reprogram so the lights would work properly. Pleaselet us know what you come up with.

BTW...where'd you buy this kit from and did you check with them?

Depending on the wiring harness you are using there may be an easy fix. Can you show me how your wiring harness? Are you using the type that has one harness for both headlights or two?

I had the same problem and it was solved with a new wiring harness and canceller. If the wiring harness is correct and you are using a canceller you do not need to go to the dealer for programming.
