I just need some advice. Tomorrow I am going to purchasing either a SLK55 or C63, but i just can't make up mind. Im at a neck-to-neck decision between them. They both have the pros and cons, but i just love them both.
I just bought a C63 but if I were 20 again without any kids I think I would go with the 2 seater convertible. I don't know where you live but a convertible is great in the warm weather. I had a Cadillac XLR with the hardtop convertible and it was quiet and warm in the winter. More important at 20 you want to get what will get you more women. Again, I say SLK55.
I've owned both. Currently have an '09 C63. Traded an '06 SLK55 for it. Was it the right thing to do? Jury's out. Give me a year and a few sets of tires and I'll get back to you. If I was in my 20's again, I'd ...
It's interesting that I'm personally going through the same thing as well, especially coming from originally looking at getting a G500...dealer was cool, and let me try the C63, boy, was I impressed?
I don't own neither, but did try both. From a power perspective, C63 totally belongs to a different league compared to SLK55. Obviously, you don't get the cool drop top factor, but my thing is that, the SLK55 will very soon lose its power crown once the new Z4 comes out in a few months, I am not even talking about the M model. The new Z4, hardtop conv't as well, w/ the twin turbo engine, will be a very nice ride.
Coming from e36 and e46 M3s, I am actually very impressed with the C63. You gotta love the sound!!
I just wanna thank everyone for there input, i ended up going with the Slk55, i realized that i'll never be 20 or single again, so i thought it was time for me to enjoy myself while i can, besides who knows if i'll ever get the oppotunity again to get a convertible once im married/kids.
