Having worked with the Motronic system used in the C63 extensively in other current AMG offerings we were keen to have a look at the power management strategies used to keep the power down below the level of the CLK/E/CLS style cars....and dont they!
Our dyno - different to a Dynojet being a load style system - registered some 355rwhp from the C63 but showed the same general trend with the power flattening off after 55000rpm. Once we remapped the system and removed the torque restrictors in the software power jumped to 402rwhp, which should come out somewhere around 430 - 440rwhp on a Dynojet...in other words serious power!
