I'm looking for steps/instructions on removing the passenger side front fender. I've looked through the forums and internet but can only find front bumper steps. Thanks in advance for anyone's time.
It is rather simple process, but Mercedes engineers make it rather hard. Here are the steps:
1- Remove right front tire.
2- Remove the front inner fender cover.
3- This is the trickiest part: There is a slide 'clamp' between the fender and the bumper junction. The clamp has a solid pin in the front, welded to the clamp (close to the headlight) and a screw on the opposite side. The screw needs/must be removed. Once the screw is out you can slide the clamp with your thumb or use a flat screwdriver and a hammer. There is lip on the clamp to rest the screwdriver. Push or Hammer toward the headlamp.
4- At the back side of the fender, by the bottom of the door, there are two large washer nuts (combination of a washer with a nut) hidden by the sill molding. Pull the molding back enough to see the nuts. It is plastic molding but it can get damaged if you pull to far out.
5- Remove the screws at the top of the fender (under the hood) and you are all set.
