So - in another thread I commented about my removal of pretty much my front under pining. It all went quite smoothly. BUT, and there is always a but - there was a complication.
About 60mi after putting in new drive shafts, pulling into a parking spot I hear a dreaded "clunk". After leaving a restaurant the car would not move (would idle away)...LSD was not happy. Either a drive shaft (front half-shaft CV) broke, or I did something wrong.
Turns out that the left side (passenger) was not clipped in all the way and had fallen out of the transfer case. So...the TC had about 50 yards of motion with the axle OUT, but - about 60 miles not properly installed.
Bit of fluid on the support brace (shit, right)...but, what are the other things I may have messed up? This is the male side - so I am looking for seals and what not. An internet search was pretty fruitless...
(I have FAR more history with 3000GT VR4s - I had three new), Porsche 911 Turbo S (997) E46 M3 and some other cars...not as much stuff on the station wagon as the tuner cars.
Thanks for the assistance folks. :crying
