Audio cover upgrade?

Hello all. I just recently purchased my 2009 mercedes c300 4matic at my local Benz dealer this past saturday. I went in for a 2010 as my lease on my 2008 infiniti g37s was up, but the deals on the 2009 were far too good to pass up. Anyways, I got the pretty much base c300 sport white on black with just the premium p1 package and 4matic (have to take what they have).

I have a question about the audio/radio cover. I know if you get the nav and MMI the cover is automated and the screen popped out and the cover lifted automatically. However, they didn't have any vehicles left with that (And to be honest I like the smaller screen look better for some reason, call me crazy but I thought I would have liked the bigger screen; or maybe I am subconsciously justifying my decision.) Anyway, is there any way to buy the same motor for my c300 to allow the cover to lift up automatically when I turn on and close when I turn off as if I have the MMI screen? It is kind of a pain to open and close it. If its possible does anyone have any idea how much the parts would cost and if it is a do it yourself job or professional job. Im sorry if this has already been asked but I couldn't find it.

Lastly, while we are on the topic. Since I don't have the MMI but I have the premium P1 package and bluetooth. Does anyone know if my head unit supports A2DP (stereo audio streaming via bluetooth)? I would love to use it with my iPhone 3GS as the headphone cable in my glovebox is a pain to use and I have to manually change the songs. Lastly, I have found the forum before but I can no longer find it. Can anyone point me to the forum that shows you how to upload my contacts to my Mercedes with my iPhone 3GS (Or is it impossible).

welcome and congrats on your new car. I am pretty certain the non mm package screen cover will not move electronically, even with a mod because the motor for the MM screen is behind the screen where the actual screen is on the non MM car. not sure if that made sense or not. as far as the iphone sync I could only find a few links and will pm them to you so I dont bog down the thread but it seems like the easiest way to transfer them is to save them to a memory card and insert it into the MB, but I am not sure if you would have that if you dont have the MM package.

You can probably rig it so it'll have the auto open and close feature of MM, without the MM screen. *shrug*
