That's not what dealership and everyone else with with a 4matic has mentioned here and on mbworld. *shrug* Let me see if I can dig up the old thread here.
Ok, you're right, there are reports that they are staggered, but the confusion comes in the brochure that says 4matics are not staggered, running 7.5/17s on both front and rear. That also explained why 4matics can't get the 18" staggered upgrade as well. Also, ran across something from Luke at Tirerack where he commented that even though you can, it is NOT recommended to run staggered on 4matic setup which he was told by MBUSA. *shrug* Not afraid to admit I was wrong though about US spec not having staggered 4matics. Was just what I remember from the brochure and I verified that after digging it up.
I run the staggered set up on my 09 4matic. no problems at all. it came factory staggered with the 17s. According to MB, the wider tires in the back increase handling, and decrease body roll. My 19s run 8.5 front, 9.5 rear. It handles so much better, very aggressive cornering, not to mention the tires i have are way better than the OEM tires.

Thanks to everyone that posted for me. I have a window sticker to prove that on c300 4matic or RWD. If you have the sport package you have staggered 17 inch wheels.
AZNC300 This is why I said that I own a US spec 08 C300 sport 4matic and in my driveway I have a 09 C300 4matic loaner with the exact same wheels as I have. I know the dealership wouldn't "swap" staggered wheels if it was not a good thing to do.
