Mobile 1 Extended Performance Oil Filter Spec.

Hi,

I am trying to get the Mobile 1 Extended Performance Oil Filter for C200K.

As you may know, C200K isn't for US model, so I am wondering if C200K uses the same spec of oil filters like C230, C300, and C350.

In addition, what qts of oil should be used for C200K based on the manual?

Thanks in advance,

Is this a US thing? I've never heard of a "Mobile 1" filter, sounds like a Chinese crap copy with a spelling error in the name, trying to fool people to believe this is something genuine but the seller expecting not to be caught from trade mark infringement.

In any case, most buy the OEM filter from the dealer, not expensive and quality guaranteed. If you know who are OEM suppliers, an "after market" one would be good too. I guess other brands too but then you have to know more about the product.

Thanks, so they are a US thing. I wonder who actually makes those filters?

Actually that wasn't even a "Mobile 1" filter, looks more like a "Mobil 1" filter.

They don't make C-class diesels with a kompressor.

I have never heard of a Mobil 1 filter nor have I ever seen one here in the US either. I will have to pay more attention in the oil filter department the next time I am in an auto parts store. Most of the stores around here carry Fram filters.

Though Mobil 1 filters are superior to Fram, I would not put in my MB anything but Mann, Federal Mogul, or other OEM fabric filter element, not paper, when using 100% synthetic European type motor oil meeting MB 229.5 (this statement on the label of the oil).

This may give you the 10,000 miles promised by MB.

Cheers, JV

Mobil 1 makes a great filter - I use them on my Turbo VW (they are 2 x the oil capacity) and they are available stock at Advanced Auto- haven't seen one for my C280 -

Why are you guys so offensive to Mobil 1 filter?

It has worked so well on any German cars including Bimmer and VW.... I exclusively use Mobil 1 filter and their Extended Synthetic oil.

C200K isn't being sold in U.S. So, I guess I might be able to get some answer from EU based members. It sounds like Mobil 1 filter doesn't sell in EU market.
