Is there a way to adjust the headlight aiming? I am sure there is but I cant seem to figure it out, I replaced my headlight bulbs and somehow messed up the passenger side so now its pointing a bit upwards. I assume there are some screws that can be loosened and tightened to aim the headlight, has anyone had to do this that can give some advice?
it has halogen and I was upgrading the bulb last night and noticed it this morning. I will double check the bulb and make sure it is set properly when I get back from work.
I checked the bulb and it is sitting perfect, it must need and adjustment, does anyone have any tips on how I can do this or where I can find out? I would just take it into the dealer but then I would have to put the stock bulbs back in which isnt a major problem but I would rather try and adjust it with the new bulbs in.
Why would you need to change the stock bulb back? Isn't the new one identical?
If the bulb really is the correct one and well positioned, you can adjust the height setting from the screw just behind the lens on the top at the right, close to the fender. Horizontal adjustment would be from a similar screw but towards the left end of the light (at the top, just behind the lens).
When I chanegd the bulb I changed it to a whiter H7 so it is still the same type of bulb, but even when I put the stock bulb back to check it there was a height issue. I will work with the adjustment screw and see how that works, I thought it was aimed right but that was only from about 5 feet from a wall and I am told that I should be about 25 ft from the wall to get the correct adjustment. Thanks for your help!
When I put in my HID upgrade, the passenger bulb pointed lower. Easy fix for me, the bulb wasn't positioned correctly. I am sure thats your problem too. The part that sticks out at the base of the bulb should be positioned at the 7 or 8 oclock position. (it fits into the "niche") and it should correct the issue.
