It probably does have the single balance shaft (3.0L). The 3.5L V6 definitely has a single balance shaft and it's a very similar engine.

V6 engines are not perfectly balanced, but they are a little smoother than 4 cylinders, which is why you see balance shafts on lots of I4's but not too many on V6's. I don't think this Benz V6 has a balance shaft.

I think the 3.0L V6 Benz has a single balance shaft like the 3.5L.
