I bought my 2008 a month ago. So I knew it was at least 1 year out of date for the navigation map as the deal will not just update the map. I found the DVD on ebay for just about what I am selling it for. I read the owners manual for the process and its very simple process, it just takes over 2 hours. I have updated after market navigation systems and they are all getting so the process is simple, it just takes time as its between 4 and 8 gig of info being updated.
We should do a forum pass around of the Nav update DVD.

Its an HardDrive based system. It was just over a 2 hour process to update from the DVD to the HD in the car. After that I immediately noticed (on my next few drives) more POIs and more details in the roads. On the DVD package I had it lists all the Major updates by either city or county. Even though my area did not have any Major updates I noticed more detail. After the update the DVD is no longer needed.
After update did you get Audio fade option in command system menu? I want to know DVD contains LOADING.KWI and ALLDATA.KWI files. These files may be use for software patch for VIM. Please let us know.

Guys, I'm not going to be an internet police but this is completely illegal, shouldn't you agree on sharing the discs/images by PM instead of making this forum a place for illegal business.
My main concern is that I will have to pay twice the price for the legal copy if every sold DVD is used by two car owners (and it sounds here like in some cases it would be more than 2). There was a rumour that MB would make the discs VIN code dependent, perhaps you don't want to push for that option.
I am having a problem when I first turn on my gps that it says that I am not on the street I am on it puts my like 4 streets over, does the update fix this or is it because I am in a city
