I have heard that the metallic material found in some types of window tint can interupt bluetooth, Nav, tire pressure sensors and am signals. Has anyone had this problem. I am getting my windows tinted tomorrow and would rather use the metallic film due to the fact it is much cheaper than the ceramic tint.
A friend has a Benz S550 and I'm sure it has all that except for the COMAND system - and he's not had any issues.
On a side note, the tint shop said his S550 was one of the only two makes that required the removal of the inside door panel to tint his windows. Something to do with the motor being on the other side than the usual.

I got the tint that has been said to "interrupt" this stuff, its the metallic flake tint, and have had no problems what so ever. Its a great tint the best and looks great on your benz

I went with Diamond automotive window films. The particular style that I chose was Quartz, the dealer told me that most Mercedes, Lexus, etc. type vehicles are tined with this type of higher grade tint to prevent any chance of interference. It was a little more than just getting the regular tint, but considering I got the entire car tinted and both the sunroof and pano roof for $235 I felt like that was a pretty fair deal. Hope this info helps...

i never had problem with tint and any kind of antenna.
1. bluetooth -> between phone and the car, which the phone will be placed inside the car. there couldn't be interruption because it's not going through tint.
2. nav -> navi antenna is placed outside on top of the car. again, can not be interrupted.
3. tmps -> not so sure on this.....
