Has anyone replaced the tweeters?

Hello, I have a leased 2008 C350. I have the standard stereo. I am okay with the bass and the mid response, but the high response of the standard stereo is almost nonexistent. It's worse than my dad's 2007 Camry standard stereo. I set up my previous car's entire stereo system by myself so I am experienced with it, but I had a manual to follow. I haven't been able to locate one for the C350 yet. Since my car is leased I just want to replace the front tweeters with the aftermarket ones, but not sure how to get to the tweeters. It doesn't seem like I can just yank the covers off. Has anyone done this before and how did it work out? Thanks.

Replacing speakers is a great upgrade. I replaced all 8 speakers in my standard stereo package and added a small sub for pretty cheap, details on what I did at following post: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w204...placement.html. The process sounds and looks crazy but the results were great. The head unit is actully fairly decent and I didn't need an external amplifier, but the Infinity speakers are fairly efficient.

One thing to note, the rear speakers are pretty crappy and will tarnish anything you do in the front. I did the front speakers and found it to be an improvement but the highs were harsh. Things didn't clear up and smooth out until I replaced the rear speakers which brought the whole sound stage together.

Lastly, if you just replace the tweeters you'll have to match the cross over filter to the front drivers which could be problematic.

What model infinity speakers did you purchase? Sounds like something I would like to do.
