I just picked up my 2008 C300 4Matic a few weeks ago. Ever since I had it, the front exterior windshield is constantly fogging up. It starts small at the bottom of the windshield near the wipers and slowly creeps up. I've tried everything: various a/c settings, de-fog button, closing the a/c vents ect...and nothing seems to help. It really frustrating and annoying.
I live in Toronto and I guess its humid this time of year but still. This is a $50,000 car and all my previous Fords and Subarus that were cheaper didn't have this problem.
Anyone else experiencing this? If so, any solutions? Can the dealer help?

I live in Toronto too, and haven't had this problem, winter or summer. I once rented a car in the UK and experienced this - until I discovered the previous renter had left the system on "recirculation" mode. Maybe yours is stuck in this mode. Does it leave a puddle under the car, after you have been running the a/c for a while? If not, the outlet drain could be plugged.
Let me ask you though - what settings do you keep your a/c at? Since you said it doesn't happen to you I was just wondering if I mimiked yours if it would work (i.e a/c temp? auto vs not? recirculated? etc...)

Mostly set on Auto 22, maybe 20 if its really hot.
I see from your post elsewhere that your prob. is condensation on the outside, not inside. I would think this is caused by a really cold a/c setting, causing condensation. Actually, I'm impressed if the MB can get that cold!

I live in the GTA and like keith100, no probs. My setting is always @ auto 21; works pretty well.
Trying cleaning the exterior of the windshield with an alcohol based cleaning agent. I heard from a friend who smokes that the tar from cigarettes can cause the windows to fog up when their cold. Perhaps you have some type of residue on the outside of you windshield?
There is a drain somewhere below the windscreen where the wipers park and I wondered if this was blocked. A pool of water there could result in the condensation you mention.

Hi Tremulant,
Did you find a fix for your windscreen fogging problem? If so please share the answer as others may appreciate the fix.

I had this problem once in a hooptie, solution: lift ur hood up, at the base of the windshield there is a vented area (the excessive plastic around the wipers) anywho, i had some debris in there, i.e. leaves from the fall and stuff of such nature, that was plugging up the air ducts to keep windshield from fogging up, check it out, that might be the possible reason why.
