scrolling MP3 titles?

I'm currently running a DVD of all my MP3's (too much aggrivation in trying to convert the 830+ songs to the drive directly). Everything plays great but all my files begin with the band first, song title second and the lmiited number of characters don't allow me to see the full file name on either the dash or nav screen (unless I go to the info for each song while it's playing).

Is there any way to get the full title without having to reformat the files? My old stereo scrolled the titles and it was really convenient.

I believe you can hit the # key on the dash and the full title will appear.

Yes. It also works with Sirius satelite radio.

I tried it but when I press the # key, it just puts the full title on the LCD/display (thus preventings use of the screen for navi, etc)
