I am battling with trying to figure out this bluetooth situation for my C230. I have heard all sorts of things, but am not sure what I need to do. I have a 2007 C230 that has the radio buttons and wheel buttons for cell phone. I own an HTC Touch phone and all I want to do is to use bluetooth to allow me to make/receive phone calls thru my audio system in my car. I keep hearing about pre-wiring and the "puck". Here is my VIN:
WDBRF52H27F899567
I need to know what exact parts I need, where to get them, and where to get them cheap, eg not $500.
iTronic BT: Bluetooth Kit for M.O.S.T. Mercedes - (due to the high demand of this product, there is approx 10 day delivery time from your date of order, as of June 20, 2008)
My C300 didn't need an adapter for the phone. Is your 230 an 08 model?. MB have a list of phones that work. Have you turned on the bluetooth function on your phone first? I think I Googled "MB bluetooth", or maybe MB phones, to get the specific website, but can't really remember.
No mine is 2007. I am told by people on another forum that my car does not have the wiring or equipment for bluetooth/phone. I have the steering wheel buttons and dash buttons for it, but who only knows what else.
