I've noticed that TeleAid will not work properly in the country. It says there is not digital signal, then tries to connect in analog, then gives up. I would like to know if my unit is defective or if this is normal.
I can't see what this has to do with my problem. My car is a 2008 C Class, so it already has Digital technology.

I googled Teleaid Canada and found that Mercedes-Benz Canada, Inc. uses ATX Group, Inc. as its Tele Aid service provider. No mention of who's the cell provider.
I think ATX also supplies TeleAid in the USA, while Verizon supplies the cellular service. In Canada, I'm starting to think it could be Bell Mobility.
