Adding the sliding cover to the cup holders.

I've noticed that the european C Class has a nice looking sliding cover where we have the twin cup holders.

What's under the sliding cover? Cup Holder or storage?

Is there a way to adapt this sliding cover to the North American car?

Thanks.

Pierre

It's just a storage box for odds and ends.

i know exactly what you are talking about.
european version has cup holders with sliding cover top while NA version is just open top.
i asked dealer about it when i bought my car and told me that it's about $400.
which is too much for what it is.

usually parts price in Canada is much more expensive than US.
you may find it cheaper price in US, if you do, please pm me with info.

Most German and European (world) cars do not have cup holders to be used while operating the machine. In Germany getting a drivers license is a very hard and costly process that is taken very seriously...You can not be driving and enjoying a Star Bucks at 130mph all too safely...So - we (Americans) get our drive-though cultured cup holder - and they (Europeans) get great storage bins...My w203 will one day be as close to original designed spec as possible...
