My sunroof has been stuttering when I try to close it ... I thought something was wrong but when I looked it up in my manual, it says it's because it's no longer synchronized.
I tried to follow the directions to synchronize it, but no luck. Anyone have any experience with this??
I have the same problem closing my sun roof. I just dropped off my car to MB service. They said it could be in program. I should get my car back today and let you know how it goes.
I got mine Repaired and "Synchronized" by the dealer, then tonight It started stuttering again. I can't be dropping my only car off at the dealer every time this breaks so I am going to have to complain about it. Maybe I can do the job myself.
Similar thing happened to mine today. I can open the sun roof all the way with on touch button but I would have to hold on to it when I try to close. I am planning in taking it to the dealership because I gotta go in for maintenance anyways.

Where did you find it in the manual?
Sounds like the OCP is losing memory. Happens a lot in CLK Class, and I remember it happening in the C Class (203). Just a guess, but if you like, I will research the MBZ bulletins to see if this is a recurrent thing that MBUSA is aware of and has put out a bulletin.
Also, if you can get the part number of the overhead control panel, call any dealer, and if it is in stock, then that is the problem.
Most times (97%) of the time, if a part is in stock, then that part is the problem.
I brought my '08 C350 in on Monday, June 30th and I was later told after they looked at the issue that the UPDATED SOFTWARE is available but only on a CASE BY CASE basis. Since I had brought it in with the same issue once before they applied the software update.
I've only had the car back for one day so I don't know for sure if this has fixed the problem but my sunroof is working again with all the 1-Touch features of open, close, vent.
I'm not sure that the dealer would apply the software on the FIRST TIME you brought your car in for the issue but I'm sure you could press them into doing so.
