Not sure what the BMW artificial version is called but my 88 325 has an artificial leather and it looks great. when I do drive it people are amazed as to how an old car has perfect leather!

My opinion the MB Tex is more tactile and I don't slide around like it feels like with leather... on the other hand, you all might wince but I wish they made the sheepskin inserts for the C300

I have a bottle I got with my MB wash kit - almost used it this weekend. How does it look?

Leather is worth the price. It's only $1500 extra in a c class. The car is not expensive to begin with (comparitively in it's class), so you might as well get leather if you like it.

Looks ok to me; doesn't make it shiny just smooth and no discoloration effect. Try a small area at the back seat and see if you like it.

I got my Zaino Z-10 and used it on my MB-Tex, love it! Now my car smells like leather and looks great! No shine just looks buffed and smooth. Zaino is the best IMO.

I drive my ML with leather during the week and my C300 with MB-tex on the weekends. There's little difference in comfort, feel or smell.

i dont think the question is MBtex or Leather...it should be why a 40K car doesnt have leather standard.

just another example of Mercedes' value for money. lol
