Does any one know if or when the Diesel C-Class be available in the USA? Will we get a C220 CDI or C320 CDI Bluetec?

I've read various "rumors" on the net, but I've never seen anything specific. My guess is that, since BMW is supposed to do a 3-series diesel for 09, MB will do the same. When my lease is up in 25 months, I'd do a diesel in a heart-beat. We have an ML320 CDI already, and I can just imagine that torque in a considerably lighter weight car.

My dealer in Edmonton, AB, Canada said the C-Class Diesel is about 2 years away in Canada, with a C240 Sedan available mid/late 08.

We will see the C with the next generation of the bluetec motor as a 2010 model.
