C300 Bluetooth Problems

I have a problem with the Bluetooth on my C300:
It connects well, pairs well, and after being "Phone ready" it connects the call when I dial , but within 5 - 10 sec it disconnects the Bluetooth on the MB with a message "Bluotooth Phone ready". At the same time the phone is still connected to the MB ( based on the small icon on the phone and the fact that the timer on the phone is still showing a connected call) . After that I have to disconnect the Blutooth form the phone manually , then reconnect and it will pair without any problems, BUT whan I try to dial it disconnects again after 5 sec. I tried several times starting from the begining ( delete the phone from MB, delete MB device from the phone etc..., ) but no help.
Thanks for any suggestions.

what kind of phone do you have?

what kind of phone do you have?

i used to work for a cell phone company a few years ago, so i always had new phones i would try out. when bluetooth first came out with headsets and such i would have horrible problems with pairing my motorola with anything. in my experience with bluetooth and brands of phones, nothing pairs better than a nokia. i only use nokia phones now because of this. my nokia pairs perfectly with my c300, i have no problems. if you have a nokia that is not working properly with your C, then maybe its the C that is having problems, try pairing it with someone elses phone. hope this helps.

It depends largely on the type of phone you are syncing. I work for MB and I have found that each phone has its own issues, and yes there are some that do not want to sync. Sometimes its dues to an outdated version of BT on the phone. Palm Treo's are notorious for not working. See if you can upgrade your phones software. Also the best way I have found to sync the phone is through the external method. This way your phone discovers the MB Phone System. 2 rounds of this should make it work. Best of luck.

Hi , my phone is LG 8700. Less then one year old model . It is very annoying not to have a reliable connection as it cuts me off in a middle of a sentence.!

I checked the list of approved phones, and the LG8700 isn't on it.

For you RAZR users, any idea how to switch to an incoming call when you are already on another call? When I am on the phone and a different call comes in, I wind up dropping both calls without hitting a button. Of course, I could pick up my RAZR and do the switch, but there must be a way via the steering wheel.
