I think that is awesome. When I bought my C300 from the dealer, I had them through in a set of Michelin Alpin Primacy PA3. They were already on the car, for 2 days as I had bought the demo. Even if the car was new, I would have bought snow tires anyways.
Even my Acura 1.7EL which I just sold had a set of Nokia Hakapalita RSI winter tires. I think it should be mandatory that all Provinces/States with excessive snow and ice in winter make it a law to have winter tires. It's a safety thing.
