C300 tires... How far will they go?

Not that it'll make any difference, but I was just curious how many miles the original tires on a C300 is likely to go (without leadfooting it).

Any idea?

Obviosuly the C 300 is a new model, but are there any other models that are similar enough to draw any conclusions?

When we talked to the tire guys at the C Drive event we asked the same question-- The info they gave us was the tires should do 30-40K without a problem. I'll go look up the literature and see what other info I have.

30-40k seems very optimistic. I wouldn't have thought you would get more than 15-20k from the rears and about 25-30k from the front.

These are H rated tires with some kind of 300 rating.

Does that mean anything relating to milage?

the "sport" tires only carry a 280 or 300 tread rating....even though they're still technically all-seasons (exception is the AMG 18", which has summer-only rubber).

that means less-than-average life expectancy...
