C Class Memory Seats

All,
I notice that all US built C class doesn't have the option to add the memory seat function, but it's been offered at the Canadian MB site.
So the question is it possible to add the memory seat function by buying the part in Canada and install it here? or better yet if there is anyone out in the east coast that can do the installation?

I don't know the answer, but, that is a very good question. I won't buy a new C Class without memory seats.

This is a good question. I would like the answer as well. This and the No light over the engine are two things bugging my husband.

we decided the memory seat wasn't enough to keep us from buying one..besides, you know in the next year or 2 they will add it so, might as well buy one now before the price goes way up

Yes, I would also like to know if it is possible to install the memory seats in C300... If anyone finds out, please let me know.

Its just too wierd that they removed the memory seats from the 08 models... and not even an option. what were they thinkng?

I hate to say it but I believe leaving out the memory in the US was due to a fear of a potential negative report in the first year's production from the JD Powers ratings. I have owned many MB's over the past 20 years that all have had memory seats. Ironically, one thing that never seemed to be reliable has been the memory system.
Most of the time it would be a matter that the memory wouldn't work on items like the right mirror and steering wheel and then a couple days later everything was fine without anything being changed.
Now, that I can't get seat memory I'm completely out of the market for a W204 since I never want to buy another E or S Class model. How sad to lose a loyal customer like me. (I have owned over 40 MB's.)
