I have read numerous reports regarding the restyling of the dash in the new Class C models. Reports of rubbermaid looking, I also read and am trying to locate the article that this is a new innovative dash design stating that it was designed to view more of the road w/o distractions. I will try to find it and post it. I think its in the manual. If people don't like the looks don't make it the worst thing to worry about driving a car. Use a product to give it some shine if you want it to look less like plastic. I have an ACURA TL and I think the dash does look better then the C Class but I am not going to fuss about it I love the drive which is what counts.

I agree with you! I have a TSX w/Navi and the dash is just perfect, not too busy, not too drab. With the C, I think the dash looks a bit simpler, but by no means, rubbermaid standard. I have test driven a few and the materials feel pretty soft to the touch and are by no means offensive. However, as I am getting the MM package, I shall surly have the screen popped up when I am in the car. Are you ditching the TL for the C?
My sister will be taking over my 03 TL Types S with tints ground effects lol. I am selling my Sound system from it. I will be moving up to the C Class when it arrives in 2 months.

I don’t think the problem so much is the materials as it is the w204s departure from tradition. The dashboard in the w204 pays no respect of homage to the vehicles that Mercedes-Benz made before it. It looks like a Volkswagen….
