Keyless Go and Start Stop button
Parktronics
Rear Seat A/C Controls
Power tilt and telescope stearing with memory (this was available in 2007)
I have been considering buying this car but it is going to bother me if these options are not available. BMW 3 series have these options.
I am wondering if anyone else has the same issue.
UK models do not come with any of these options as standard either, and we pay twice as much for the car (and I am not talking about added tax etc.). So stop complaining and count yourself lucky.

You get a broader range of engine options though. We're stuck with the C300 and C350. Also, it's not a matter of those features not being standard, they're not even available here!!
hm.. thats weird, cuz i have the canada c-class brochure in my hands right now, and i quickly skimmed through, and noticed there is key-less go, and rear ac control :| (i didnt see the other two options u mentioned though)
unless canada's C class is different from the US, Keyless Go should be included in the premium package, and the rear AC control as part of the Thermotronic automatic climate system.
edit:
i just read the options page, and it says
"Power-tilt/telescoping steering column with 3-position memory" optional on the c300, but standard on the c350
last but not least, found this on the last page of the brochure.
"Quickpark:
We've even made parking easier with the QuickPark System. It uses ultrasonic sensors and acoustic warning signals to keep you from bumps when trying to fit into a tight spot"
im not sure if thats the same as parktronic, but it sounds like they're the same thing
so basically, all the options u listed that are not available for the us models, are available to the canada models.
The only reason I can see for them to do this is for having something to add to the car later. The keyless go option could actually be a dealer install deal where you can buy it...if you look at the euro versions its just a button plugin where the ignition is... as for memory seats and things,
they've done testing in USA to find that Americans want seat controls on the side of the seats not the door (which I rather them be on the door) and that memory functions weren't that big of a deal....so they padded their wallets and cut some options to deliver us a car with a smaller price tag. I don't know what the big deal is really, buy the car for what it is, or don't buy it.
I agree, I'd rather have the option to buy any option, ESPECIALLY ventilated seats but I also know I'm not shelling out $86k for the S class so I am going to be happy with what I can afford, and what this car company is offering. Not complain at length about things I can't change.
Bottom line, its a great car, if it doesn't offer everythign you want, go elsewhere or wait til next year. they're sure to add these options soon.
My C will be built in Late October in Germany, not South Africa. I was a little disappointed as well that Keyless Go was not availavble. Parktronic is a nice feature, but not that important for me. As far as rear AC controls I don't see the point in a C Class, but I never ride in the back anyway. Besides the Panorama roof I sprung for mostly benefits the rear passengers anyway. You have to understand how MB is organized. MBUSA is an LLC. They handle distribution and marketing for the US and Puerto Rico. Canada is not a part of this. MBUSA has power over MB INTL because in a sense MBUSA represents the largest market for Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the world. MBUSA can has a lot to do with the packages ie. P1, P2 etc. I would expect to see options suchs as Active Ventilated Seats and Dynamic Drive as the model progresses.
