I ordered a Mars Red C350 fully loaded. It will be built on Sept. 13. Glad it is not Friday. I was wondering if anyone knows if you can replace the OEM computer chips with the one used in Germany. I would assume that they do not limit the speed to 130 mph. I would also like to up the HP about 30 to equal many of the competitors. I am going to put on Michelin ZR rated tires before I drive it.
I have an 08' c350 w/ a Kleemann Racing CPU just put in (w. also Eisnemann exhuast)... The response time is AMAZING.... It makes the car a lot more fun to drive.....
In Terms of the CPU alone:
It will put you over the 300 mark in terms of horse power but still not enough to keep up with a 335... But you will defintley feel the difference. I'm soon to install Kleeman headers to my 350 when they come out in about october.... this will defintley let me blow 335's away....
Kleemann and Eisenmann are your two best parts people to go to for Mercedes-Benz.... they are both located over in Germany....
Thanks for the reply. Are there any downsides to this? Will it void the warranty? Is it an easy on off installation? Will it show up on the computer readout when I am having it serviced? Are there other options such as the German OEM CPU?
In terms of warranty: IT will NOt void your warranty unless mercedes can prove that the aftermarket part you have installed has caused the malfunction down the road.
For example: say you install the CPU chip and your headlight goes out or your power windows don't open.... thats still under warranty... they have to prove it caused the problem and its very hard for them to do.... their are laws in every state for this... I've had a previous Mercedes before with headers and exhuast andhave had to bring it in for engine problems and it was covered b/c the prolems were not with what I installed.
You will haveto go to a certified intaller for parts to your benz.... check kleemann and eisenmann sites for certified dealers in your city.. I live in Tampa and the guys here did an AMAZING job for me....
AS for a readout... it might show up depending on who does it at your dealership, but if they find out.. they will only put it in their notes of a a new CPU chip...
I don't know about German CPU's but I would contact a German dealrship and see if they would order the part for you and ship it over.... but its the same thing as adding an aftermarket part... and Kleemann and Eisenmann are amazing in quality and warranty......

Is it a flash for your CPU can u Do the install yourself.
Or do u have to buy a spare ECU or what have no clue and the Kleemman site is very not up to date how much is it also.
C350 ecu tuning should be similar to 06/07's C350 if not the same...
and y spend $$$ on KLEEMANN when u can pay fraction of the cost for same output??? KLEEMANN is way overpriced IMO...
