Has anyone heard if there will be a 4matic version? I have seen all the press releases that mention all the new features, engines, suspention, etc. BUT there has been no mention of a 4matic version.
There will be 4-Matic offered in both the sport and luxury versions of the C300. The C350 will be rwd only. The 4-matics will launch 3 month after the rwd's.

Sounds like you may have the inside track, any speculation as to:
PRICES
and do you think AMG package and 4matic can be gotten together? I know too many people who are unhappy with rear wheel drive C-class cars in the snow.
Actually, I spent 3 hours with the Product Manager of C CLK and SLK this past week. While prices haven't been finalized, I was told that a completely loaded 350 sport will top out at $45-$46k.
There are no AMG packages so-to-speak. There are 2 distinct product lines. The Sport car, which incorporates the star into the grill, and the luxury car that retains the hood mounted star. There will be a C300 4-Matic Sport, but sadly, not a 350. The 350 will be rwd only. The standard sport wheel will be 17" with all-season tires, while the 350 Sport will have the option of 18" wheels and summer tires.
well, i watched the video from the unveiling of the w204 in germany and they said that the same models out currently will be the same for the new one, which means c280 4matic and c350 4matic and they said that the 4matics will be out in august of '07 and there was no talk about a c300, but there was talk about the kompressor models, but i don't know which models they are talking about

They mention:
AMG sports package: even more dynamism and individuality ex factory
The C-Class benefits from real added value in terms of dynamism and sportiness with the AMG sports package. A combination of attractive and exclusive features, of which many are not available individually, gives the Saloon an even more striking presence even at standstill.
AMG bodystyling, a sports suspension, 17-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, sports seats and a three-spoke steering wheel convey considerably more individuality and guarantee even more driving pleasure for mile after mile.
Although the above could be for Eurospec only. Not saying you are wrong since there are quite a few differences between Euro and US--there is all sorts of info out there! For example they also mention that:
Depending on the equipment line and engine, Mercedes-Benz charges between EUR 2,124 and 3,439 ex-factory for the optional AMG sports package on Eurospec cars.

My dealer in Germany (for US spec models) mentioned as well that there was a C300 and C350 and the ones below may not be around.
