I have a 02 c32 amg with the famous low rpm trans jerk. I've never been able to find a fix or a sure answer why the tranny does it. It can get very annoying, I've tried new fluid and filter, unpluging the battery for one hour to try and maybe reset the memory which neither seemed to have any effect. I was wondering if it had to with the tranny fuses which are numbers 55,58,61 by the fuse chart, the only one that is being used is 55 the other two are left out. I am wondering if they are left out for a reason by the factory, or if mine are missing, there for causing the tranny to not work properly. Any info on this subject would be great, Thanks!
The Trans jerk at low speed is caused by the torque converter locking up near 20mph. Resetting the trans memory or replacing the fuses will have no effect, unless you plan to change the trans, get use to it. it drives me nuts to and from work and i have a 1.5hr commute in stop and go traffic, but eventually you learn to deal with it.
I have a 03 c32 and mine does the tranny jerk on the highway only never in the city thats kinda weird everyones happens at low rpms stop and go traffic i wonder what my problem is
