Engine Cleaning

Best weay to take some off the grime off my engine...? Figured I'd use some Simple Green with a soft scrub brush, plastic of course, and with a warm idling engine, lightly spray with the hose, then scrub with the green and then rinse it gently with a a very light spray pattern... Opinions please...

use engine degreaser, then spray down with water. Once the engine is completely clean & dry then go over the entire engine bay with Meguires Leather Wipes (yes leather wipes, its an old secret). It is safe on both rubber, plastic, and metal and keeps the engine bay dust free and looking new for months.

make sure that if you are spraying degreaser that you stay away from idlers and alternator , it will strip the lube from the bearings .
