Technical note: Mounting MB-Alu-rims at C32

As reported by several members some Daimler Chrysler dealers offer the following Mercedes Benz aluminium rims as winter wheels for the C32/C32T:<br><br>

aluminium rim Shedir (B6 647 1671) <br><br>
aluminium rim Celaeno (B6 647 1821) <br><br>
aluminium rim Alshain (B6 647 1511)<br><br>
<br><br>
These rims are original Daimler Chrysler products and offer the same dimension and backspacing as the AMG rims delivered with the C32/ C32T but they are only matching theses cars when the front brakes are not hot. As soon as the brakes and the inner part of the rims are getting warm the brake can get in touch with the rim due to the thermal expansion.<br><br>

For this reason the mentioned rims are not permitted by AMG!!!<br><br>
<br><br>
Technical note: Not the rims backspacing is the reason but 1. the quality of the material and 2. the design of the inner rim in conjunction with the big brakes of the C32/C32T.<br><br>
