anyone hard-wire their radar detector?

Anyone hard-wire their radar detector in their C32? I want to hard-wire my V1 but am not sure what to connect it to. I'm thinking of tapping one of the fueses in the driver-side fuse box. Any suggestions?
c1815457-a.mntp1.il.home.com

Re: anyone hard-wire their radar detector?

i hard wired my radar detecter, tap into the power suply under the hood. it is located near the main fuse box. the power suply is already remoted. then get a groung probobully there will be one next to the power suply. then go to a car stereo store and purchase a fuse connect the power to the fuse and run them both through the fire wall located under the fuse box and into the car. then cut the radar detecters wire right before it gets to the cigerete lighter and connect the + to + and - to -. and your all set, when the car turns on the radar detecter will turn on, and it will go off with the car.
any questions email me. good luck, alex
