I spent a month there going from Joburg to Capetown. We drove all over the place, spent some time in Kruger, Joburg, Knysna, and Capetown. Even got to fly and spent a few days in Vic Falls. You have no idea how much I loved SA, really a nice place.

Any idea when the update is expected? Is it still in 2003? [?]

I recently (May 2003) ordered a new C. I am expecting delivery end June 2003. If there is an update coming soon, I might just cancel the order.
Don't want a "new" old (pre-update) car! [xx(]

to wait is 4 weeks for special order "C" or is it factory order or not? What option are you getting. I ordered mine last "Feb 03" and and it will be just arriving this Friday. After 16 weeks of waiting[:(][:)][;)] Waiting is always have a happy ending[:D]

Afraid it's a stock standard C200 Kompressor Elegance with Termatronic climate control, removable tow bar, cell kit and sun roof[:(]

Definitely not what I need, but what I can afford!

I agree, live's too short, but I have leave some money in the budget for the bread and beer!

But someday, when I'm finished with my studies... [:D]

And your "C" isn't a basic you have a cell kit, tow bar and a sunroof, over here we need an extra power on passing or else you will be end up on the ditch, whenyou are getting on the freeway[:)][;)]

Hi,

Some info for South African MB fans.
I recently mailed DCSA asking them if there is going to be an update/face lift on the W203 in 2003/early 2004. Herewith their reply:

"Dear Sir,

There are no changes in the near future to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. We are
currently looking at introducing a "Sports package" option to be introduced on
the C-Class Sedan later this year, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

The dealership told me that there will be new colours available from August/September '03 (they could not tell me what they are) and that Aragonite Blue colour will no longer be available.

Attached is a photo of what my C200K is supposed to look like when I finally receive it (hopefully) 11/07/2003. I chose the Aragonite Blue colour, because it is very scarce in SA and since it will be discontinued in September, it will remain a rare sight.
